Erik
Asgeirsson
President and CEO
CPA2Biz, Inc.
Erik
Asgeirsson was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer
of CPA2Biz in November of 2002, after holding key managerial
positions at CPA2Biz since the fall of 2000. Previously, Erik
held a variety of senior positions at AT&T in sales and
operations. In his last role at AT&T, Mr. Asgeirsson was a Sales
Director for the Business Services Division where he managed a
market segment with revenues of over $100 million and oversaw
the roll out of a number of new business services.
Erik holds an MBA from The New York University Stern School of
Business and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from George
Washington University. Earlier in his career, Erik served as a
United States Peace Corps Volunteer in Tanzania.
Jon Baron

Jon
has more than 30 years of technology development and management
experience, providing technology solutions specifically for the
accounting profession. Prior to joining Creative Solutions (now
Tax and Accounting, a business of Thomson Reuters) in 1992, Jon
spent 17 years with CCH where he held various executive
technology development and operations positions. At Creative
Solutions, he spent six years running the technology development
department, where he was responsible for the design and
development of all products. He was appointed the president and
CEO of Creative Solutions and a member of the Tax & Accounting
Executive Committee in July of 1998. In July 2004, Jon was
promoted to the position of president of what is now known as
the Professional Software & Services unit of Tax and Accounting,
which focuses on the accounting, bookkeeping, and tax market. In
his current position, he is responsible for the Enterprise
Suite, including GoFileRoom® and GoSystem Tax RS®, as well as
the CS Professional Suite®, including UltraTax CS® and Practice
CS®. Jon holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Siena
College and an MBA from Boston University.
David Cieslak, CPA.CITP, GSEC

David
Cieslak is a Principal with Arxis Technology, Inc., a computer
consulting firm with offices in Southern California, Chicago and
Phoenix. He specializes in micro-computer accounting systems,
information security, the Windows operating environment,
eCommerce, handheld computing, systems development and project
management. He is currently an instructor for K2 Enterprises and
frequent speaker for the California Society of Certified Public
Accountants (CalCPA), the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants (AICPA) and other state accounting societies. He
speaks on computerized accounting topics, information security,
handheld computing, electronic commerce, Linux and the Windows
operating environment. He has taught micro-computer classes for
California State University at Northridge and written articles
for The Quantum PC Report for CPAs, CSCPA Outlook, California
CPA, and the AICPA InfoTech Update. He is currently on the
editorial board of the CPA Technology Advisor and the California
CPA. He is a Sage ACCPAC ERP and Sage ACCPAC Plus Certified
Consultant, a Windows Certified Professional and holds the GIAC
Security Essentials Certification (GSEC).
Scott
Fleszar
VP, Strategic Marketing, Tax & Accounting

Scott
Fleszar is vice president, strategic marketing for the
Professional division of the Tax & Accounting business of
Thomson Reuters. He is responsible for overall marketing and
strategy for the CS Professional Suite, Enterprise Suite, and
myPay Solutions product lines. Some of the major brands he
supports include UltraTax CS, Practice CS, and Accounting CS.
Scott joined
Thomson Reuters in 1994 and has spent more than 17 years working
directly with tax and accounting professionals in a variety of
different ways including key roles in Product Support, Training
and Consulting, Product Management, and Strategic Marketing.
Scott’s work developing strategic customer surveys and other
tools to capture market feedback has been key to driving new
product development for the Tax & Accounting business of Thomson
Reuters. Scott has been active in public speaking and
educational seminars and has most recently been involved with
developing the Thomson Reuters Thought Leadership brand of
content and events designed to move the profession forward with
new strategies, best practices, and relevant technologies. Scott
holds a BBA in accounting from Eastern Michigan University and
an MBA from the University of Michigan.
Devin
Houlihan,

Devin
Houlihan, CPA (inactive) is the National Accounts Manager for
CCH, a Wolters Kluwer business. He came to CCH from a startup
software company in 2001 with the acquisition of ProSystem fx
Engagement. Over the years he has consulted with hundreds of
firms on implementing A&A and Tax workflow solutions in. Prior
to CCH, he worked as a consultant for a start-up software
company and mid-size CPA firm in Orange County, CA. Devin
received his B.S. in Accounting from San Diego State University,
CA and holds a number of technical certifications from both
Microsoft and CompTIA.

King

Steve is a Partner at Emergent Research. Steve's current
research and consulting is focused on economic decentralization,
the growth of small business and the future of work and
workplaces.
Steve has extensive consulting, marketing and general management
experience with both large and small companies. Steve has served
as vice president of Corporate Marketing for Macromedia, vice
president and general manager of Asia Pacific for Lotus
Development Corporation and vice president of marketing for Isys
Corporation. He has also been the interim CEO, CMO or head of
business development for 6 start-up technology companies and has
served on the fiduciary or advisory boards of over a dozen
companies.
Steve is a senior fellow and board member at the Society for New
Communications Research, a research affiliate at the Future of
Work and an advisory board member at Pond Ventures. Steve has a
B.S. from the University of Richmond and an MBA from
Northwestern's Kellogg School of Business.

have adopted a unique approach to the service of my profession.
The first is as a consultant to public accounting firms and to

profession and for vendors who seek to serve that community; and
the third, just to insure I stay completely current with the
trials and tribulations of the practicing accountant, is as
Senior Manager of Tax and Technology Consulting with the Top 25
firm of Eide Bailly, LLP.
I was the Executive Editor
of The CPA
Technology Advisor, the
country's leading print publication dedicated to the application
of technology to public accounting until I left that post in
2009 to slow down. Formerly I was VP at Thomson Creative
Solutions and Tax & Technology partner at LaFollette, Jansa,
Brandt & Co., LLP. I served on the AICPA CITP Credential
Committee (Chair), the National Accreditation Commission (ad hoc
via the Credential CITP Committee), the Top Technologies Task
Force, and the TECH+ Planning Committee.
I completed my professional
training at Augustana College . I am a CPA and a CITP and also a
member of the AICPA Information Technology Division. I am a
national speaker for CPA societies, industry groups, and
computer user groups and have published hundreds of articles on
financial services and computer systems management. I host
dozens on webcasts every year and record a series of regularly
scheduled, recurring podcasts.
My wife,
Kaye, and I have one grown daughter and choose to live in our
hometown of Sioux Falls, SD.

Al
Prentice is the vice president in charge of 1st Global’s
Business Management Services (BMS) group. His responsibilities
include overseeing the development of sales and marketing plans
for BMS Advisors and affiliated firms, as well as overall
strategies for financial planning, changes in product mix and
considerations for varying economic conditions. He is also in
charge of providing leadership for 1st Global’s Business
Affiliate Services (BAS) and Business Partnership Services (BPS)
platforms, and sales across all channels for direct
participation programs. In addition, Al supervises all 1st
Global Wealth Management Academy® programs, including the WIN
Program, and product sponsor relationships.
Al has worked with hundreds of tax and
accounting professionals to introduce financial services and
develop successful wealth management practices. In doing so, he
has developed an expertise in the unique structural and entity
setup options for tax and accounting firms, compensation
strategies, succession planning and quantification models for
valuing financial services firms. Prior to joining 1st Global,
Al earned his Master of Business Administration in Finance from
Neeley Business School at Texas Christian University. While
studying at TCU, he served as analyst and administrator for the
William C. Connor Foundation’s Educational Investment Fund.
Additionally, Al has worked both as an Internet analyst for a
Fort Worth hedge fund and as a REIT analyst for a Dallas asset
management company. Al’s previous experience includes 12 years
in the telecommunication industry working for Motorola and five
years in the domestic oil and gas industry.
In addition to his Master of Business
Administration, Al earned a Bachelor of Arts and Master of
Education from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. A
CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant, Al is a registered
representative who has passed the FINRA Series 7, 24 and 66
examinations. He has also successfully completed Level I of the
Chartered Financial Analyst Program. Al is also a member of the
Financial Planning Association (FPA) and the Investment
Management Consultants Association (IMCA).

Sorenson, CPA, CFE is President of Sorenson Business Consulting,
Inc. She has been a business and accounting consultant for the
past 15 years. She works with small to midsized businesses,
setting up accounting and point of sale departments. She
develops policies and procedural systems so that clients can
manage their business finances on their own or with a staff. Her
past experience as a controller for a large Mortgage Banking
firm has ensured that she knows what it takes to run an
accounting department.
Randi is also a
Certified Fraud Examiner through the Association of Certified
Fraud Examiners. In her role as CFE she has taken a keen
interest in training her clients in Asset Protection. She has
also worked with clients in uncovering fraud and asset
misappropriation. As a member of the Intuit Trainers and Writers
Network she is honored to present other CPA’s with tools to
fully utilize the QuickBooks financial software in working with
their clients.
She has authored
Accounting Practice Sets for an accounting course at the
University level; as well as articles for publication. Randi is
an Adjunct Instructor at California Lutheran University in
Thousand Oaks, California, teaching courses in accounting.

Adrian
Stern, a California CPA, has been a highly acclaimed speaker at
the California Accounting & Business Show for many years. He a
featured speaker for other State CPA Societies including the

He has designed and installed local and wide area Network
systems for CPA firms. He has implemented wireless communication

Jill Ward

As
senior vice president and general manager of the accounting
professionals division, Jill Ward leads Intuit’s efforts to
develop products and services that help accountants increase
their productivity and grow their practices. Additionally, her
teams develop programs to help accountants recommend the right
Intuit offerings to help their small business clients succeed.
Ward joined Intuit in 2001
as the vice president and general manager of QuickBase and went
on to lead the company’s vertical solutions businesses.
Previously, she served as vice president of Accountant Central,
responsible for strengthening Intuit’s relationships with
accountants.
Before coming to Intuit,
Ward held senior positions at financial and business services
companies, including Fidelity Investments, and Bain and Company.
She holds a master’s in business administration from the Amos
Tuck School at Dartmouth. In 2008, "Accounting Today" magazine
named her as one of the Top 100 Most Influential People in
accounting.
